When I awoke the Morning of April I 1995, never in my wildest dreams, did I think I would be MADD’s Community Leader for Hants East. I remember back to when my brother handed me the phone number of the person to get in touch with for Mothers Against Drink Drivers and how my hand was shaking as I called the number. All of a sudden peacefulness came over me as I heard this tidy voice on the other end of the line saying ‘Hi Florence I have been waiting for your call.’ I needed the comfort of others that had been down this road before, and I found it that day. I am very proud to be part of MADD and I hope that in my own way I can help the next victim; as I have been with the caring hands of the MADD volunteers. |
